All I have to say is “Wow!”. When I first started my podcast I looked around and I went with a service that was recommended to me at the time, and it was good. After 42 episodes I started looking around for other services because I wanted features the service I was using just didn’t have. That’s how I found Captivate and I have to say I’m completely blown away.
The scary part about migrating a podcast to a different host can be intimidating but with Captivate, all I had to do was enter my feed URL from the previous service and then confirm the import was successful. From there, I logged into my previous service and did a redirect to the new Captivate feed…done! The entire process took, at max, 3 or 4 minutes.
So, why did I switch?
As a content creator I need two major things, stats and a way to promote my show. The stats on the original service showed me how many listens but it didn’t go into much detail and the sorting wasn’t great. Captivate has me covered in the stats that are important to me. For the promotion side of things, Captivate gives some cool options. For example, this link takes you to a page where you can click into your favorite podcast platform to get the show.
Captivate also has a customizable player so you can easily embed your show while still keeping your branded look. For example
